Prior to the project, Angel Central suffered from weak brand direction, declining perception and increasing competition. A new brand identity positioned Angel Central as a vibrant and inclusive destination reflecting the energy of Islington. The refreshed visual language introduced bold colour, confident typography and a flexible toolkit designed to communicate events, retail and leisure experiences.

Major activations such as the Feel Good Festival and Do Good Festival transformed the destination through workshops, talks, pop-ups and cultural events.
These initiatives activated vacant spaces, supported local businesses and strengthened Angel Central’s role as a community hub.
